Gaps, Site Assessment, and Site Conceptual Models |
Project
Navigator has an internal philosophy and excellent track record of
“making the most of existing site data.” Before any new
data is collected, the scope and quality of the existing information
is carefully scrutinized from a geo-spatial perspective. We use GIS
techniques to rapidly perform this function.
GIS techniques allow us to determine where there are crucial data
gaps. The data gaps drive where more field work maybe required, and
also allows the PRPs to make informed decisions on what needs to be
known Vs not investigated.
Our company firmly believes in the fabrication of a Site Conceptual
Model (SCM) at the early stages. The SCM provides a common vision
of the site for both regulator and client.
We have recently prepared SCMs on major oil field projects, with extensive
sludge and sediment problems, shown in the images opposite.. |
