and Remedial Construction Oversight |
Project
Navigator has managed scores of design/bid/build and design/build
projects.
We are expert at facilitating projects under both scenarios and understand
when each approach may be better for a particular project or PRP group.
We understand how to appropriately manage retained resources to achieve
cost and schedule targets. We are adept at applying oversight to the
degree necessary. For example, if work is being performed on a T&M
basis, closer scrutiny may be required than if the work is being accomplished
under a performance based contract structure where costs and targets
have been agreed to in advance.
At the Operating Industries Landfill (OII) Site project in Los Angeles,
we were particularly careful about the degree of technical direction
we provided to the EPC contractor, since the contract was structured
as performance based. While we represented the PRP owners, we were
careful to make design changes. Our main function was acceptance of
what was built on behalf of the PRPs; i.e. was the design actually
built?
In contrast, we exerted more control over the contractor at the just
recently completed Tex Tin Superfund Site, in Texas City.
At the Ascon Drilling Muds Landfill in California we are presently
managing in extreme detail, all aspects of the remedy process. |
