Remedies
at sludge and sediment impacted sites involve the management of perhaps
100,000’s of cubic yards of materials. Some of the materials
may be TPH, pesticides and metals impacted. Solutions typically involve
finding ways to contain and prevent future exposure.
Project Navigator is expert at deriving sludges and sediments management
logistics at large acreage projects, whether they are above or below
water.
If excavation is required, costs will be minimized if each cubic yard
is moved the minimal number of times. The right logistical operation
requires the planning and experience provided by PNL.

of impacted materials at major sites, such as:
• OII Landfill Superfund Site, CA: 2MM+ cu.yds. for a soil cap.
• MAR Services Site, LA: 250,000 cu.yds. of soils treated and
graded into a cap.
• Waste Disposal Inc. Superfund Site, CA: 120,000 cu.yds. cut
and
recompacted for a cap.
• Ascon Superfund Site, CA: We are presently working on the
FS to
excavate 1.3MM cu.yds. of oil impacted soils and drilling muds. |
